Sidney Crosby is listed as day-to-day after participating in scheduled practices after Sunday's game in Washington. Crosby has a sore groin and does not want to stress the injury further, which may sound like something to "tough up" against and play through, but groin injuries are one of the most severe injuries a hockey player can continually agitate and ignore. Smart decision to rest it (look at Marc-Andre Fleury last season and earlier this year).
Whitney has to attend to personal matters back home and will rejoin the team against Chicago Friday night.
